currently_rave 0.3a Release Candidate 1
So... what does currently_rave do?
Quite a few website have a section where they list what they are "currently" doing. Quite often, these lists are months old. To rectify the situation, currently_rave gives webmasters and webmistresses a simple way to update these, in their browser, as opposed to having to edit a .html file in ugly Notepad, and then tediously upload the file via FTP, which can take forever to login. currently_rave is known as a currently script.
Give me a reason why I should use it!
- It's free!
That's right. You don't have a pay a penny. All I ask for is a link back, and that you don't repackage it as your own! - Simple Web Interface
Simple really does mean simple. Login, write down what you're currently doing in the pre-constructed form, then submit. The script updates your website instanteously. - Flat File
What does this mean? You don't need a database to run it! It's all done in text files. - Install in Seconds
Upload the script and login. Done in seconds. You'll be given the chance to change your password, too.
Got any screenshots?
It's so fresh, nobody's got round to installing it yet!
What will I need?
- A PHP enabled webserver. Nearly all paid hosting gives you this. Most free hosting won't.
- A text editor.
- An FTP client (or similar). On Windows, you might be interested in SmartFTP.
