I realise I’ve been neglecting this domain for the past year or so, but it’s never really reached my to-do relist which never seems to go away. Projects this year have included doing a lot of work at Pulse Radio Online where I’ve done mucho coding (look, wordpress!) and a spot of DJing, too! You have the unfortunate pleasure of tuning in every Sunday. We’re the breakfast show which strangely is nowhere near breakfast time. Quirky stuff.

Additionally, university looms ahead in the murky distance. I’ll be sure to update here when I finally decide on my offers, but if you’re near Newcastle, Lancaster or Leicester, be sure to lock up your daughers… just in case. I’m going to Aston on Thursday to check out the women department. Apparently the uni is nice. Probably the curry, too.

After the exams (read: mid-June), this website will be not only updated, reskinned and the like… but probably also given a little redirection as I go through the wonders of preparing for a degree in Computer Science. I additionally imagine that all the tricks and other magical CS stuff I learn will end up here in some form or another. I note that John - who recently went to uni to do Photography - didn’t bother please us with little tidbits about his course. Soph did (albeit for only the first few months)! No matter, though.

For the aforementioned 4 years of pwnage I’m about to face, I invested in a laptop! A lovely little Dell Latitude D620 which I got second-hand. It’s beautiful… apart from it doesn’t recongnise the battery even when it’s not plugged in (as it runs off the battery fine). This means it doesn’t tell me when it’s about to die… like it did when writing this blog! Hopefully eBay will be my saviour, like it did nearly two years ago! Blimey, how time flies! Two years blogging here and I’ve not even bothered to blog about it.

So, in short: bare with me and you’ll like the results. There won’t be any script development until the summer, sorry! Support and security stuff will be intermittent… but it’s there.

I was doing my monthly check of the website and associated _rave scripts, when I noticed that I hadn’t update the copyright notice to take into account the new year. And I still haven’t been bothered. Then, I realised that not only have I’ve had a continuous presence on the interweb for the past 4 years now, but I’ve been developing my HTML skills for the past 5-and-a-bit years, too.

It doesn’t really bare much consequence to anything, except perhaps any impending university interviews which need to be blagged. But it’s fairly notable that I’ve not only kept at it, but also held onto the friends who helped me there in the first place.

The world wide web is a rather interesting place. And it’s significance will be even more paramount in 2008.
